Nigel Wright are pleased to be partnering with ZENB to recruit the newly created position of R&D Lead.
ZENB is a new startup backed by Mizkan, a major multi-national food company. The subsidiary is well financed with strong R&D resources to leverage new technologies and develop new and innovative food products.
From their Kings Cross office in the heart of London they are creating a leading direct to consumer experience, and they are only just getting started!
ZENB is passionate about reshaping the food system and we are searching for individuals who are equally passionate people to help bring this new brand to life - people who are excited about the future of direct to consumer and online experiences.
If you have big ideas, undeniable enthusiasm and thrive in a collaborative, creative and diverse group, you are in the right place.
This newly created role is pivotal to the UK business achieving it’s strategic objective - the Plant based food market in the UK is growing at a rapid pace, with customers constantly looking for more choice and innovation. The business already has a strong customer base, and their innovative and ambitious approach means that they are well positioned to build on this.
The R&D Lead will be given the autonomy to create an R&D facility in the UK – support is on hand from the US and Japan, but as the UK market is more advanced from a Plant based perspective, the successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for creating a portfolio of products that can be eaten across breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks – 365 days a year! There is a real desire to create a broader portfolio of products that will satisfy the appetites of the growing number of people that are becoming more conscientious about not only what they eat, but the impact it has on the planet.
The UK Team are highly motivated, and are passionate about the brand, they are inquisitive, driven and pride themselves on positive collaboration, therefore it is essential that the new R&D Lead can collaborate and work cross functionally. Working closely with the UK Head of Marketing and the Head of Innovation in the US, this role offers a high level of international exposure.
Whilst the team is based in London, candidates who can spend 1 or 2 days a week in the office, with the rest of the week working from home will be considered.
If you have R&D experience within food manufacturing and have a natural interest in an organisation that is looking to change the food system, then please apply now.
All 3rd party applications will be forwarded to Nigel Wright
