The Company

My client are a passionate and people focused food manufacturing business with sites throughout the UK.  Part of the broader Orkla business, they are now seeking a senior sales person to lead their growth across the foodservice sector. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build upon existing success and take the opportunity to provide solutions across the hospitality sector.

The Role

  • Proactively sustain and develop existing client accounts and build strong working relationships with key points of contact
  • Actively seek new business opportunities and customers within the foodservice and national wholesale ambient grocery channel
  • Negotiate contracts that benefit the business and support a continued ongoing relationship with the customer
  • Develop and maintain accurate records to support clear analysis of performance
  • Work with commercial team to create a clear strategy for business growth and development within ambient grocery channel
  • Prepare and present quality information at Sales meetings and to Senior management
  • Renegotiate and complete annual terms with customers and effectively communicate with colleagues
  • Agree budgets and targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Work with Marketing colleagues to develop customer and channel specific activity to support key growth ambitions
  • Liaise with colleagues to assist and support customer key objectives and growth plans
  • Work with New Product Development colleagues to identify potential areas of growth
  • Lead the representation of the brand/s at various trade shows and industry specific events.

The Person

Culture is key in this role and you will be a self starter with the ability to drive strategic change and get your hands dirty.  An understanding of the complexity of the foodservice and national retail market is essential and any background in deserts or associated product categories who be a real bonus.
