Carr’s Billington comprises 30 retail sites providing a variety of agricultural products, machinery and fuel but also providing machinery repair and servicing both on Carr’s sites and on farm. Their strategy is to provide all a farmer needs and differentiate themselves through their product range, their customer and technical service levels all delivered from convenient local sites.

Reporting to the Group HSE Director, as HSE Advisor you will work closely with the Managing Director and the senior management team to lead and advisor on all HSE matters for Carr’s Billington sites. This includes the fuel division, machinery service centres, operational warehouse, and retail stores. You will look to continue to drive a culture of zero harm and industry best practice across all Carr’s Billington sites.

As a highly experienced HSE Advisor you will have considerable experience in providing a collaborative and challenging HSE service to a wide variety of operational sites. Previous experience gained in a supporting a hazardous site and a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma will enable you to understand the real complexity and variety of the Carr’s Billington sites. You will have previous experience in driving continuous improvement in HSE to raise standards and embed a positive engaged culture. An awareness or experience in environment (permitted operations etc) would be advantageous.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern with one day per week based from Head Office in Carlisle and the remaining time based either across the Carr’s Billington sites as appropriate to build effective relationships or working from home.
