The role

Nigel Wright are supporting Fentimans on their search for a Customer Marketing Manager (in home channel). This role will be a 12 month fixed term contract, based in their offices in Hexham 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home. 
The primary purpose of the Customer Marketing Manager is to grow market share, whilst building awareness and driving brand trial in the ‘In Home’ channel, both in the UK and in focus international markets. 

In order to apply for this role you will have strong FMCG experience and exposure to the grocery channel. 

What you will be doing:

  • Work with the team to develop strategies and annual plans to drive growth in the in home channel
  • Act as the marketing lead with the in home sales team. You are responsible for setting the marketing direction
  • Lead the creation of the annual marketing plan to win in the in home channel (both UK and International)
  • Proactively develop activity which demonstrably contributes to building awareness and trial
  • Execute trial and awareness building activity in retail in both the UK and focus International markets
  • Understand the effectiveness of retailer marketing vehicles (both trial and awareness and ROI)
  • Support the sales team in their quest to acquire new distribution
  • Be the expert in market knowledge / shopper behaviour in the in home channel
  • Execute the launch of NPD and new initiatives in retail / grocery channel

What you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Strong FMCG experience dealing with grocery channels
  • Good influencer and strong communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills. Able to influence internally and externally
  • Ability to build a marketing plan (with a time and cost element)
  • Ability to work across functions and manage both internal and external stakeholders
