ZENB UK is a new start-up backed by Mizkan, a major multi-national food company. Our subsidiary is well financed with strong R&D resources to leverage new technologies and develop new innovative food products. ZENB operates in other markets such as the United States and Japan.

From our King’s Cross office in the heart of London we are creating a leading direct to consumer experience, and we are only just getting started.

The Role

This newly created role is pivitol to the UK business achieving it’s strategic objective - the Plant based food market in the UK is growing at a rapid pace, with customers constantly looking for more choice and innovation. The business already has a strong customer base, and their innovative and ambitious approach means that they are well positioned to build on this.

The Innovation R&D Manager is responsible for bringing new and exciting ideas into ZENB UK, and driving the NPD roadmap for the business. This role leads the front-end development of new food products using inspiration drawn from food trends, the latest food technology (by working closely with the wider R&D team) and uncovering the reason to believe in those ideas with consumer research and concept exploration.

The individual will feed into achieving ZENB’s growth target by leading the business’ new product launch plan, setting realistic but ambitious portfolio development goals and timelines. Project management and organisation is key in this role, as the right candidate will co-ordinate the input from the various teams into project and launch plans throughout the project lifetime.

Working cross functionally is a critical part of this role – as a small team, getting the right cultural fit is incredibly important to you. The UK Team are highly motivated, and are passionate about the brand, they are inquisitive, driven and pride themselves on positive collaboration. offering the successful candidate a high level of international exposure.

Whilst the team is based in London, candidates who can spend 1 or 2 days a week in the office, with the rest of the week working from home will be considered.
